About the artwork
In this reinterpretation of the major arcana number 13, Death is portrayed as a butterfly-woman who has just emerged from her cocoon, symbolizing the rebirth and freedom that come with transformation. Her wings, in shades of blue, evoke the calm and confidence to embrace new beginnings, while flowers and leaves in shades of red, green and orange make up a vibrant garden that celebrates life after the end of a cycle. Each element of this composition was designed to convey the beauty and strength of letting go of the past and moving forward, recognizing that every change is an opportunity for growth.

About the arcana
The major arcana number 13 in the tarot, “Death” is a symbol of transformation, liberation and new beginnings. Although traditionally portrayed with a gloomy appearance, its message is one of hope: the end of a cycle makes way for a new, more aligned and meaningful chapter.
